Would You Like To Try A FREE Multi-Media Strengths Curriculum?

I am in the final stages of production of a strengths curriculum called Strong Planet. It is based on the Affinities Program, a four year comprehensive strengths curriculum for high school students. Strong Planet is a multi-media entertainment driven, activity centered curriculum. It has original music, animation, video, stories, and accompanying hands on group activities. This can be done in your school in a variety of ways, integrated in to your classroom easily. If you are a US School, I am offering this curriculum to school for 2010 for free as a pilot participant. The Best Buy corporation has paid for the licensing of this curriculum for you school. Jenifer,

Thanks for posting about your work. I've read your book! Thanks for making a great case for student strengths development.

Could Strong Planet integrate the specfic language of StrengthsFinder or the Strengths Explorer tools? Most of the folks on the Strengths School social network are using the StrengthsQuest program (that integrates StrengthsFinder) as part of a strengths development program for students in high school and college undergrad. How would you see Strong Planet and StrengthsQuest working together?

Yes, Mark. While the program does not use that language because it is copyright protected, it is something that can be a next logical step once the language is discovered. It is supplemental to what Gallup is doing and entirely complimentary and in fact, I would highly recommend both things being used together. It is simply a reinforcement tool...or a "what next" tool.

Hi Jennifer! I am interested in your curriculum, Strong Planet. I have read the curriculum for the Affinities Program, and loved it. I am a Program Coordinator/Technology Director/Professional Development Coordinator for three Alternative Education High Schools. Our students have taken the STrengths Finder survey and the Engagement surveys for the past two years. Sorry that I am late in reading this post, but I would be interested in trying the program. I teach in higher ed where my focus is on first-time freshman and retention. Would this curriculum be appropriate for that group?

Hi Jennifer my name is Jorge. I am interested in the Strong Planet Curriculum and would like to learn more about this program. I actually wrote my Master Project using Strengthsquest with 9th grade Latino boys. My focus is to continue by implementing a curriculum like Strong Planet to make a life changing impact to young teenagers. Thanks.
