I am the Superintendent of a small school district. All of our staff take the StrengthFinder and we weave the language and philosophy of strengths into our entire school districts. We systemize this approach over the years by giving the SF to our new staff each August. We spend our very first two hours with them during the induction meeting with new teachers talking about their specific strengths. We use this approach after we hire all of our new teachers using the Teacher Insight assessment tool.
Works Great! We have made a difference in the quality of learning experiences in our students and staff. We hire talented teachers and we help them to become aware of and grow in the areas of strengths.
We have evidence that it works! Our high school was selected as one of five in Wisconsin in 2008-2009 to receive a silver award from U. S. News and World report (top 2% of high schools in the US).
