Great ideas, Tim! You can send a message to Melissa Hinrichs for information about pricing for student codes. She's on Strengths School and works for Gallup.
Shane think that this is a great protocol and an equally great template. I intend on adapting it to work with staff in order to support them in their learning and in ensuring job satisfaction/fit. Thank you for sharing this. (I suspect it will als...
This coming school year a social work colleague and I will be providing StrengthsSummit in two urban high schools. SS targets high school students who are at high risk for academic failure and drop out. We are recruiting local college students who...
Funding is the key issue. In my classroom management course, the students have to buy the Teach with Your Strengths book which will get them the code. Then I weave strengths into the rest of the course content.

Christy,
I'm also interested in ways to get this funded. Should we be going to parent groups? As a parent of two middle schoolers I would jump at the chance to have my kids know their strengths...especially if it was framed around a career discus...
Hi Christy! I'm excited to be on here - the UCC will be offering StrengthsQuest to students this fall. And yes, I am finally a "master" :-) Thanks! Hope all is well with you and that you aren't too loaded down with classes or research this summer!
Hi Christy,
You had asked me before about some of our efforts. Our latest efforts include focusing on our GT students and our next one might be to focus on our GT teachers. Check out the BISD group for our district wide invitation to be 'Strengths Engagement Specialists'.
I am looking forward to coming up with ways to make this really effective for our kids. I think it will really open up some doors to creating stronger relationships with kids, which will hopefully lead to increased participation in classes.
Good luck with your doctoral program. I'm trying to decide which way to go with one--either Ed. Admin or a more curriculum-based one. Should be fun doing more research!
Ralph and I both enjoyed getting to know you at the conference as well, Christy, and I'm positive that we'll be running into each other in the future.

Howdy and congrats to you and your Chiefly hubby! I've got a TON of restaurant recommendations in San D. Any particular kind of food? There's a place in La Jolla called Acqua Trattoria that is schmantzy but affordable and has some great views of the water. Little Italy (on India St., ironically) has several good options, and the Gaslamp near downtown some tasty options too- Coronado also has some cool spots. Give me a type of food or general area & I'll get you some more. Eating is my specialty. ;-D
Hi Christy, nice hearing from you! I'm takinga break from classes this summer but just got back from a conference where I presented on body image with a colleague. Thanks to our class, I was able to inclue some info from a positive perspective! Are you taking more classes in the fall? - Kathy
