Hi Connie,
This is Fursey Gotuaco in Fort Worth. I noticed that you have Analytical and I was wondering if you'd be able to help with a few things. As I continue to spread Strengths throughout our district I come across some folks who less impressed with the positive side of strengths and are more interested in the data side of the research. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions for me on how I can satisfy their needs?

Hi Connie,
A quick "hello!" to help place a face with a name, at least until we have our chance to speak/meet. You may recall speaking with Eric N. regarding my interest in interviewing you for a documentary film highlighting the value of whole-person strengths-based education. Looking forward to connecting.

Hello Connie,

Sorry that I did not see your email sooner. Yes, I am using it with the MBA Students in our Advanced Professional Development Class, with a underserved summer enrichment program, and now we will be implementing it with all the freshmen business students in my 1010 class (Fall 2009) which will reach about 600 students a year.

This is the second year we have used the strengths finder in the MBA program at Auburn and the students have really enjoyed it. I require them to take the strengths finder, create a career plan , a strengths presentation for the class, a self-awareness reflection, and a social awareness and relationship management reflection each utilizing the results.

Connie-
I have gotten started. The Lincoln High Group got a late start, so we are all rushing to catch up on the time schedule. I am doing the reading and the assignments. I am hoping that I am doing the computer stuff correctly. I have had some issues with the quizzes though. I have taken both. Another LHS teacher and I don't think the second one is scoring correctly.
Being out of classes for the Christmas break slows down the process on some of the assignments. Next week will be a push to get some of those things done.
Thanks for your contact. Tami

Thanks for the comment. I am a little behind, but am sincerely enjoying learning more about strengths and the how they can work for self-improvement, enhancing my teaching and my relationship with students and colleagues. I look forward to seeing you at VSU and to interacting with you via the Strengths School.

Hi Connie, I just wanted you to know that Sherrill-Ann have connected. I started a discussion about using the recent presidential election as a teaching tool with students about their strengths. I invite you to take a look at my page and join in!

Hi Connie. I'm in the TMCF Pathways Program and just looking around the site and found your profile. It's nice to put a face to my instructor. I am so excited about the strengths curriculum and the potential of use the knowledge in my own life and in my students' lives. I truly believe education is transformative and knowledge of self is key. Well take care and I'm sure we will have many more opportunities to dialogue.
