Kevin-
My name is Mark Larson. I am a teacher from Lincoln High School in LIncoln, NE. Being a counselor, what a great way to use some of this strengths stuff. My father was a high school counselor for a long time and loved his job! You've got the right strengths to do your job.

Hi - I am a special education teacher at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, NE. I have been teaching there fro 13 years. Most recently I have been assigned to a freshmen team and we are going to be introducing Strengths Finder to all of our freshmen in the future. I think my input and achiever talents are what I utilize the most in my position.

This is a really good article from the NCDA (National Career Development Association) on a series of strengths-based lessons for elementary school students. http://www.tcssoftware.com/cgi-bin/WebSuite/tcsAssnWebSuite.pl?Action=DisplayNewsDetails&RecordID=1163&Sections=2&IncludeDropped=0&AssnID=NCDA&DBCode=130285
The specific lessons are geared toward 4th graders, but the ideas could certainly be adapted for a high school audience. It's a starting place for advisories to look at helping kids develop strengths.
